Q: Will I earn a GED?
A: Students who pass the exam and order a diploma package will be issued a diploma awarded from Aberdeen Academy. This diploma is not a GED. The GED is administered offline by registered instructors at a state designated location and cannot be completed from a computer.
Q: What if I fail the exam?
A: If a student fails the online exam, they may retake the course as many times as they like. There is no penalty or fee to retake the high school program.
Q: What can I do with the diploma?
A: The diploma awarded by Aberdeen Academy High School is documented proof of an individuals' education achievements. It can be used for a number of purposes. Education programs designed to be completed in short timeframe are accepted by a large percentage of trade schools, colleges, universities and employers but not in every instance. The college, university, trade school or employer may have specific requirements beyond the diploma awarded by Aberdeen. These requirements may include additional examination or a higher level of educational achievement. Every education organization or employer has the right to set their enrollment or employment requirements and these should be understood by the applicant before registering with the online program offered by Aberdeen.
Q: Is Aberdeen Academy High School accredited?
A: Aberdeen Academy High School retains membership and endorsement by the American Accreditation Council for Higher Education. This independent endorsement requires Aberdeen as the member to follow a strict code of educational guidelines that are met initially to attain membership. Q: What are your enrollment requirements?
A: Our enrollment requires that if your age is 16-17 years, you must have a parent or guardian approve of the program and include their name and information in the enrollment registration. If your age is 18 or above, you may register and take the course immediately. If your age is below 16, you may not enroll in the online program.
Q: What if I live outside the United States?
A: If your area of residence is based outside the United States, you may enroll and take the high school program provided you meet the general enrollment requirements. These enrollment guidelines require the applicant if between the ages of 16-17 to provide a parant or guardian approval and if 18 or older the individual may enroll immediately. If the applicant is 15 years of age or younger, they may not enroll in the online program. To receive your diploma package, certain funding types and requirements must be accepted. Q: Can you explain your verification service?
A: We are proud to offer the most innovative verification process for graduates of our program. The verification is completed online by the potential employer, school or other educational body. After selecting the appropriate form, the representative must complete the required fields and then submit to our advisors. Our advisors will then review the form submission and respond within 24-48 hours and confirm or deny the person of interest as a past graduate of Aberdeen Academy. The verification process involves thorough analysis of graduate records and a careful determination before a response will be sent to the requesting party. Q: What if my diploma gets lost or is damaged?
A: If your diploma that was provided by Aberdeen Academy High School gets lost, stolen or damaged, you may order a replacement diploma which will result in a small fee. Upon requesting a replacement diploma, you will be asked to provide proof of your graduation through personal information that is documented by our advisors. Once a graduate has been verified, they can follow the next steps our staff require in completing the order to send out the replacement diploma.

Q: How long until I receive my diploma package?
A: When ordering the diploma package, there are multiple shipping options to choose from depending on how soon you'd like to receive the package. We now offer overnight shipping to graduates as well as an affordable option that typically arrives in 2 days from time you order. Please make sure you choose the option that best suits your needs as once selected, the shipping option cannot be reversed.
Q: Can you guarantee the diploma will be accepted?
A: A potential employer, education organization or trade school is allowed to set their own standards by which an applicant must follow in order to be accepted. Certain universities and colleges are known to require testing prior to the applicant even being allowed to submit their request for admission. Since these requirements are unique and set by each organization or employer, Aberdeen cannot guarantee a graduate will be accepted to any university, college, trade school, employer or any other type of position where the diploma could be used. By enrolling in the online program, you as the applicant and potential future graduate of Aberdeen Academy High School accept that it is your responsibility to understand the requirements of any particular education organization, employer... etc. before registering with our course. Q: Does your school offer flexible payment plans for me?
A: Yes. We now offer the most flexible payment plans that can be customized according to each individual and what is ideal for their unique situation. We have a standard payment plan that consists of three even payments; one immediately upon initiating the payment plan, another two weeks later and the final payment two weeks after the second payment.
